ITC Approved Trainers
An individual who wishes to deliver ITC qualification is termed an ITC Provider. An organisation such as a further Education College who wishes to deliver ITC qualifications is termed an ITC Centre. The menu on the left allows you to:
- understand the ITC pathway for Provider approval
- browse approved Provider Induction events by date or region
- find answers to frequently asked questions
Please select an option from the menu on the left to begin.
If you wish to deliver ITC First Aid training and qualifications the first step is to become an approved ITC Provider.
We have a regular programme of 2-day Induction events to begin the approval process. The Induction event introduces organisational procedures, documents and teaching & assessment methods of ITC, using the EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) course as a vehicle to illustrate ITC methodology. This begins the process to become accredited to deliver EFAW. Once accredited to deliver EFAW Providers may also follow the accreditation path to:
- deliver HSE qualifications for the workplace e.g. First Aid at Work
- deliver SQA accredited qualifications e.g. Outdoor First Aid
- deliver OfQual accredited qualifications e.g. Paediatric First Aid, Sports First Aid
- deliver tailored qualifications e.g. Motorcyclist First Aid, Expedition First Aid
If you represent a large organisation or educational establishment you may wish your organisation to be approved as an ITC Centre.
Recognising different business needs ITC also offers a direct route to become accredited to deliver Outdoor First Aid or Paediatric First Aid qualifications. You are assigned a mentor who will take you through all aspects of delivering the ITC qualifications of your choosing. You must apply using the LA1 (policy/procedures link at bottom of page) guidance to write a letter of application. There is sometimes a waiting list for this route.
